How to plug the USB cable to the chassis

There are several brands / types of casing by providing a USB cable with a separate socket (1 cable 1 socket), there is also a join (all cables join into 1 socket). If you buy a chassis with no separate USB cable you will not be difficult to install, but what if separated? Obviously you have to memorize where the cables are red, white, green, black, etc...
